Rancang Bangun Website Virtual Tour Waduk Malahayu Menggunakan Metode Multimedia Development Life Cycle

Brebes Regency, located on the border of Central Java and West Java, has interesting tourist destinations, especially the Malahayu Reservoir. Malahayu Reservoir has attracted more than 22,000 visitors in the past month. Apart from the enchanting nature, there are three other tourist destinations around the Malahayu Reservoir. Tourists can enjoy the natural scenery by taking a boat ride in the reservoir and enjoying typical dishes such as crispy fish and endemic fish. However, the lack of information on access, facilities and activities at Malahayu Reservoir is a challenge. To overcome this problem, the latest technology such as virtual tours is an effective solution. Virtual tours allow visitors to explore locations with a 360 degree view via devices such as smartphones. This allows tourist destinations to show details of locations and experiences that can be enjoyed. This research aims to develop a virtual tour website for Malahayu Reservoir using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method. It is hoped that this approach will increase accessibility and promotion of Malahayu Reservoir, overcome the lack of information, and allow potential visitors to explore the beauty of the location virtually. This research discusses the design and development of a virtual tour website for the Malahayu Reservoir tourist attraction by applying the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) methodology. The use of MDLC in the design, testing and evaluation stages of websites aims to improve the quality of information and user response. The results of black box testing and the System Usability Scale (SUS) show a good level of functionality and user satisfaction of 77%, indicating a positive level of usability. The discussion involves analyzing MDLC's performance in facing challenges at each stage and providing recommendations for future improvements. In conclusion, this research shows the success of applying MDLC in designing virtual tour websites that are informative and responsive to user needs.
